Betting glossary — in plain terms
Asian Handicap
A weaker team is given a virtual advantage (handicap) for betting purposes. The possibility of a draw is removed, so you can only bet on two outcomes. Most common in cricket and football.
Over-Under (Totals)
A bet on whether the total runs or goals in a match will be more or less than a set number. For example, a market on whether total runs in a match will be over or under 300.
Odds Formats
The same odds can be written three ways: decimal (3.00), fractional (2/1), and American (+200). On a ৳1,000 bet at decimal 3.00, if you win you get back a total of ৳3,000 — including ৳2,000 in profit.
RTP (Return to Player)
The percentage of total bets a slot or game pays back over the long term. An RTP of 96% means an average of ৳96 is returned for every ৳100 bet — but this is a long-term average, not a guarantee for every session.
House Edge
